The MPO-1 runs on a Mac Mini and all of the screens in the front of the cabinet comprise one large, stretched-out “monitor”. So, if an application crashes or another error occurs, it might display a stretched out system error on one or more of the displays.

To clear the error message, disconnect the HDMI from the HDMI Audio Extractor and connect the HDMI to a separate display instead. Use a keyboard/mouse to close any open dialog box and restart from the Finder. Here are the steps:

Important - Avoid manually restarting the Mac by holding down the power button. This could cause more problems, so try the method below first.

  1. Unplug the HDMI with the pink tape from the HDMI Audio Extractor at the back of the cabinet.

  1. Connect that HDMI cable to either a monitor or the TV at the rear of the cabinet. This should display the desktop (or whatever app is open) on the Mac Mini.
  2. Connect a mouse (and keyboard, if needed) and clear the error message.
  3. Restart the Mac from the Apple menu at the top left corner of the screen.
  4. Disconnect the HDMI from the monitor (or TV) and reconnect it to the pink port on the stack of video wall boxes. If there isn’t any further trouble, disconnect the mouse/keyboard.
